Pawnee Hills is an Equestrian Community and with that comes a community barn, arena, round pen, and obstacle course available for use by every member.

Another feature is the extensive bridle path system which runs throughout the community and around its perimeter. The paths cover a variety of terrain — hills, meadows, woods and even an old railroad trestle. With that in mind, equestrians should take note that a variety of riding skills are required. Use caution on the paths since conditions may change. Be aware of overgrown grass, tree branches, stumps, rocks, holes, or other obstacles. The bridle path map in the link below displays color-coded trails designed to give riders information about what to expect along the paths:

Green: Paths are mostly flat with a few gentle hills

Orange: Steep grades or drop-offs

Red: Use extreme caution! Severe or dangerous drop-offs or very steep hills

Please respect private property when using the paths. Look for wooden signs to mark entrances to the bridle paths and directional signs at intersections that indicate the endpoint for the trails and smaller directional signs placed along the interior of the system to help riders stay on the paths.

The Pawnee Hills trails are for the use of equestrians and pedestrians only; ATVs are not allowed.
